Tournament pool sizes

Scoreboarder follows the standard FIE maximum pool size of seven competitors, that means if you have up to seven fencers in either a pool, or pool followed by DE tournament, they will all be placed in the same pool.

Once you have eight fencers they will be split into two pools. One of four and one of three. any additional fencers will increase this size until you have two pools of seven, after which they will be split again.

When adding a late entry to a tournament it will be added to the smallest pool, but will not redistribute all the pools. This can result in pool sizes larger than seven.

In future we will be adding the option to default to maximum pool sizes larger than seven.
