Member import, or quick creation will first run through a deduplication filter to ensure that you don’t accidentally add the same user twice. Users are checked for a full match of first name and last name, or if first name only is provided then this will match users with only the same first name. This means you can create “Jane” and “Jane Doe” if you usually only use first name, but need to differentiate two users with the same one.

Additionally if you add a user with the same USFA member number as an existing member then the existing user will be used instead.
